I’m not sure why I’m bothering to post this dream as it was really short.
I got off the bus across the road from where I get the train home from college. I could see two guys ahead of me sprinting for the train station. I figured there must be a train coming so I started to run too. As I got close to the station, I could see Debra walking in ahead of me. I was glad that if I missed the train I would have someone to talk to.
In order to reach the platform after entering the train station, you have to climb a flight of stairs, walk across and climb a second flight of stairs. When I ran into the station I somehow jumped the first flight of stairs and pulled myself over a barrier. It was like something out of an action movie.
I had to stop then for a second to catch my breath before I sprinted for the second stairs. I made it to the top and dashed forward to the open door of the train. I jumped into the carriage and collapsed onto an empty seat. As I looked around I couldn’t see Debra anywhere but I could see the happy exhausted faces of those who had also run for the train.
This dream was too much like real life. I hate running for that train!

Last Day of College May 6, 2010

It was the last day of the semester in college. A computer lab had just been emptied because the class that had been on in there was over. I couldn’t believe my luck to get a computer on the last day of the semester. I was walking in behind two other girls but the man running the computer lab sent them upstairs because we were to be separated by year.
Oddly enough there didn’t appear to be computers in this lab, it seemed to be more like a study room. I saw Jill so I went to sit beside her. As I pulled out the chair to sit down, Ruth sat on it and said thanks to me. Jill and I glanced at each other and rolled our eyes.
I took the seat next to Ruth and took out the assignments I had to hand in today. One was only a page long but the other one was about twenty pages and bound nicely. Ruth took one look at the longer one and proceeded to tell me I’d made 3 typos on the first page alone. She then said that she had better check my other assignment for me.
She snatched the page out of my hand and it ripped in half. I couldn’t believe it! I started shouting at her and I had to hold myself back from attacking her. She shrugged and said I’d just have to print it out again. I went out of the room in order to calm down.
I went to the vending machine to take my mind off killing Ruth. I couldn’t decide what I wanted at first but then settled on a Wispa and some Fruit Pastilles. The vending machine was the kind where the products are kind of in a coil, like this:
However there was no glass front on it or the glass front had been removed. When I typed in the number for Fruit Pastilles, the coil moved backwards and pulled the sweets away from me rather than pushing them towards me. I climbed up on the machine and just took the package out by hand.
I had no idea how I was going to print my assignment again in time since all the printers were out of ink (I have no idea how I knew this). As I walked back to the computer lab, I saw my reflection in a window. I can’t remember what top I had on but I was wearing a long white skirt and dolly shoes. I remember thinking that I had never worn that skirt before (I don’t even own one like that!)
That’s the last thing I remember. When I woke up I was still really angry!

Chris and I were walking home from somewhere in town. It was nighttime and we passed a venue where three bands were playing. The bands were listed on the door and one of them was Cowboy X (a band I really like). We stopped for a minute to try to hear if it was them playing at that moment but it was some band with a male vocalist.
As we kept going, we passed a tattoo place that was open 24 hours a day. I decided that I was going to get a tattoo (even though in real life I don’t like them at all) so we went up the steps and into the place. I wanted to get a moon of some kind on or around my right shoulder-blade. Chris went in with me and we started looking at the different designs.
I realised I’d be home late if I got it done so I asked him to ring my parents to let them know. They weren’t answering the phone so I told him to try my dad’s mobile. He still got no answer but said he’d keep trying.
The woman who was going to do my tattoo looked like one of the characters from Whip It (the one on the right):
She gave me a book of designs to look through and I found a moon and it was alright but I wasn’t gone on it. The whole thing was weird, it was as if I felt I had to get one done so I may as well get a moon. In the book I saw a manga design and I asked if they had any other designs similar to that. She gave me a different book filled with manga. I then picked one of Tohru from Fruits Basket, which oddly enough, was almost identical to this:
The woman then asked me whereabouts did I want the tattoo. I said I couldn’t really describe it so I’d show her on her back. She turned around and I pointed out the spot on her back. She said that she knew exactly where I meant. I’m not sure where Chris was at this point, I assume he was still on the phone but I don’t know.
I took off my top anyway and she started doing the tattoo. Apparently she had to something to prepare me before she started the actual tattoo (I have zero knowledge of how it’s actually done so how realistic any of this is I just don’t know). I was really scared but she was so practical that I didn’t want to tell her. I wished that Chris was there to comfort me but he was still outside.
After about five minutes the woman stopped whatever she was doing to my back. I asked was she finished already. She laughed and said that she hadn’t started yet but I needed to give my skin time to accept the work she’d just done on it (I really wish I could remember what she did). She put a bandage on it and brought me into what looked like a cross between a sitting room and an office.
She told me it would take quite a while to complete. I said that I was aware that it took time. She then went on to say that it would take all night and most of the next day too. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! I asked her was she sure it would take that long. She assured me it would as tattooing manga was a more intricate procedure than normal tattoos.
My mind raced as I tried to remember if I had any plans for the next day. I knew that I had college and I couldn’t afford to miss it. I told the woman that I just couldn’t give up that much time. She seemed used to people giving her this reaction. She nodded and told me that the preparation she had done would gradually disappear in the next 24 hours so I had no need to worry. I apologized for wasting her time but she didn’t seem bothered at all.
Chris seems to have completely disappeared from the dream at this point as I was walking home on my own (from town?!). It was bright out now so I can only assume it was the next morning. I bumped into Brian who appeared to be directing traffic. Why he was doing this, I have no idea but it seemed to be perfectly normal in the dream.
We started talking and he asked me what I had been doing in town. Somehow I pulled down the back of my top and showed him the bandage on my back. I explained what had happened and he started laughing. He said he couldn’t picture me with a tattoo anyway so it was probably a good thing I changed my mind! I agreed with him and said that it didn’t feel right anyway. I think I woke up then.
I think this dream came about because I was reading a book before bed where one of the main characters has loads of tattoos…

The setting reminded me of the Caribbean as seen in the Monkey Island series of computer games. Anyway I was in a little row-boat with a few other people who I can’t remember. We were approaching what appeared to be Monkey Island itself.
I was really nervous because we were expecting a fight or an ambush upon arrival. When we got off the boat though, the next thing I remember was being in this small apartment with Chris and some little girl. We were still hiding from whoever had been expected to ambush us earlier.
I had something that looked like a toy dart gun but was actually a real gun. I think we were trying to protect the little girl but I don’t know why. People kept knocking at the door so Chris would answer it while I’d cover him from out of view of the door. All the people calling were either salespeople or friends who we invited in. None of them seemed perturbed to see me standing there with a gun, perhaps because they thought it was just a toy.
I’m not sure if we moved or if the dream changed settings but after a while we were outside but there was also a shelter where loads of crates were stored. We may have been on an island of some kind because the only way to get to us was by crossing a bridge.
All the people from the cinema were moving the crates or bringing more crates. A guy from my course was there and he asked me why I was so on edge. He was standing with a ginger haired guy who seemed a bit hyper.
I told the two of them that “they” were coming for us and I had to protect the little girl. I also explained that my toy gun was real. The hyper guy didn’t seem to even take in what I said but the guy from college nodded and said he’d keep out of my way.
Suddenly I heard a load of footsteps running across the bridge. I got myself ready to face them but I was shaking. I calmed myself down enough to hold the gun steady. I could now see who was coming across the bridge and it was only more staff.
I let out my breath, which I hadn’t even realised I had been holding. No one seemed to have noticed how scared I’d been and I put the safety back on the gun. I leaned against one of the walls of the shelter as the relief at not having to shoot anyone or be shot at coursed through me. I looked up and a guy from work caught my eye and mouthed, “Well done”. I wanted to thank him but he was already gone.
Sorry about the lack of updates lately, I haven’t been remembering dreams at all the past few days.

It was dark and I was in a car with Fergal and my dad. Fergal was the one driving even though he doesn’t know how to drive in real life. We were in a housing estate and Fergal was trying to find a way to bring the car through but every turning he took led to a dead-end. Eventually we decided it’d be quicker to park somewhere and walk through.
As we were walking, we passed what looked like a photo booth. Upon entering, it turned out to be something along the lines of a slot machine. Fergal gave it a go but didn’t win anything. Him and my dad started walking ahead then. I put a euro into the machine and the screen said that I had won €850! It printed out a slip and there were instructions on-screen as to where I could cash it in. There was a woman behind me who wanted to use the machine and tried to hurry me out. I made sure I finished reading the instructions and then ran to catch up with the other two.
It was now daytime in the dream but it wasn’t a case of enough time passing that the sun had come up, it was more like it had always been daytime. As we walked through the housing estate, the bins were out for collection. Only the green bins and the compost bins were out though.
My dad found a load of rubbish on the ground, I can’t remember what it was, and he went to put it in a bin. Whatever it was, it wasn’t suitable to go into the green or the brown bin so he ended up leaving it balanced on top of two bins. Fergal then took a huge piece of plastic out of nowhere. It looked like the lid of a dispensed drink but it was about the size of a pizza. He asked what he’d do with that and both my dad and I looked at him like he was crazy. My dad said to put it back wherever he’d found it.
We walked through a gateway and finally made it to our destination, which turned out to be my college. Apparently there was a huge shopping centre on campus that everyone wanted to go to. Fergal and my dad were going to different shops than I was so we said we’d meet up later.
I had to return some books to the library before I could go shopping so I started walking in that direction. On my way I was stopped by someone campaigning for one of the nominees for student president. They went off on a really long speech about why I should vote for the person. I got really bored and impatient so I interrupted them by asking who it was they were talking about again. The person was shocked and said, “But I’ve been telling you about them for ten minutes! You mean to say you really have no idea who I mean?” I nodded and said that I’d just gone blank. The person got really dispirited and just walked away.
I finally got to the library and there were about three pink laptops just left lying around the reception. I thought that it was a really stupid thing to do as anyone could just take them. As I was thinking this, three girls came down the stairs with coffees in their hands saying that they’d had such a lovely break.
The next bit I remember is meeting my mom in one of the shops on campus. She was looking at a load of photo frames and saying that we should get one for my cousin because she’d just had her second baby and there was room for two pictures in the frame. I said we should get one for my other cousin to because they had cute ones with space for one picture too and she only has one baby.
Suddenly the cousin with one baby was there and my mom asked her would she like the photo frame as a present. I couldn’t believe she was asking her about it as it was going to be a surprise. My mom’s excuse was that she was no good at surprises anyway.
I’m not sure where it came from but I was now carrying a robe in my arms and trying not to let it trail along the ground. My mom had decided to get the photo frames and had them in a basket. We bumped into Chris then who was looking for a new pair of shoes for his little brother. He wasn’t sure which ones to get so I said I’d help him pick some.
That was the last thing I remember, the €850 thing seemed to just fade into the background…

I can’t find a logical sequence of events for this dream so I’m just going to post what I remember in the order it comes to me.
I was on the bus with Chris but I think I was going to college. We were definitely getting off the bus at my college but we got off at the stop I would normally get the bus home from. As we were walking away from the bus, the driver started shouting. I wasn’t sure who he was shouting at but Chris said he was calling me. I turned around and the driver had my bus ticket in his hand. I’d obviously dropped it when I was getting off. I ran back to the bus and thanked the driver for calling me back.
The next scene I remember was at night. I was supposed to be staying over in a friend’s house (I’m not sure who it was) as I’d stayed in hers the previous night and didn’t feel bothered to go home. When I got there though Mel was staying over that night so I realised that I couldn’t impose. I said that I was just there to make sure that I hadn’t left anything behind. Sarah appeared then and said that she was going to start heading home soon (apparently we were really far away from home). I asked her would I call my dad cos he was nearby and could give us a lift. Then started saying that there were six of us going that way and we’d be better off getting a minibus. I thought she was insane and eventually convinced her to get a lift.
I know there was another scene but I can’t remember it at all.

This dream was insanely long and I’m pretty sure I don’t even remember the start of it. Chris and I were in my old primary school where his little brother apparently goes. We were waiting with him in his classroom at the end of the school day for Chris’ dad to pick him up. His teacher started talking to us, telling us about what he’d been doing in school. She said he was settling in really well. At that point Chris’ dad arrived and picked up his little brother. They went off home together but we were still talking to the teacher for some reason. She was asking us did we often have to wait with Chris’ little brother. We told her that we were waiting for Chris’ neighbour anyway (I have no idea who we meant) so it didn’t bother us.
The dream skips a bit then and I’m in a lecture room I’ve never seen before. People are piling into the room but I’m sitting on my own. At the back of the room there’s a wooden display case and a walkway behind it. I get up and stand in the walkway. At this point I see Chris come into the room with a load of people and sit down. Before I get the chance to join him, the man giving the lecture starts talking.
I don’t think it was an academic lecture nor do I think he was a lecturer. It was more like he was the leader of an order, not necessarily a religious one. I can’t remember what he was talking about but periodically he’d stop and make a demonstration like changing something using magic. I couldn’t really see what he was doing from where I was standing so I was slightly skeptical that he actually had any power.
He then started talking about the feats of some famous explorer. He said that great power and contained in his walking stick, if only we had it with us. He then called out to me to approach the wooden display case. I did as he asked and there was a long straight stick in it. It looked a little bit like this but i had lines running down it:
The man asked me to leave it in its case but to start shaking it back and forth as quick as I could. I did what he said and it started to turn blue at the top. At the this point I started blowing on it, even though he hadn’t told me to, it was instinctive. As I blew on it, the blue colour spread quickly until the entire walking stick was blue. The man then told me to stop shaking it and to bring it up to him. When I went to pick it up, it had changed shape entirely and now looked more like this:
I was amazed at the transformation and I started wondering was this a miracle or magic powers or what was it. I brought the walking stick up to the front of the room and had to stop myself from bowing to the man. As I walked back down I realised I couldn’t see Chris in the crowd anymore, even though I knew he was still there.
The next thing I remember is the lecture was over and I was leaving the room. I was trying to catch up with Chris because I thought he was just ahead of me. I had a games controller in my hands and I was trying to wind the cord around it but no matter how much I wound up, there was still more left. I looked down at the controller and it had a normal length wire. I just gathered the wire together in my hands and started walking faster.
It was at that point that I realised Chris wasn’t ahead of me but a load of guys in huge armor and ahead of them was Fergal. The guys looked kind of like this without the helmet:
When I caught up to the guys in the armor, I asked them if when I went with them, it was okay for me to use the controller I had in my hand. They smiled at me and said that would be fine, a good few people only knew how to use controllers. I have no idea where we were going to go or what I was going to control.
Fergal had noticed me by this stage and stopped to wait for me. I ran up to him and apologised for keeping him waiting. I explained what I’d been talking to the guys in armor about and he said I must have known it’d be okay to use a controller. I agreed but I also said that I didn’t want to have the wrong kind. He thought that was understandable and we went off after the guys in armor.
Suddenly I was in a crowded car park with a group of the girls form college. We seemed to have arrived from somewhere, as if we had been sent to this place for the forseeable future. They were talking about how they wished they were part of the crowds queuing up to go home, even though they weren’t getting anywhere any time soon. We walked away from the crowds and into what looked like a shopping centre.
There was a space just to the right of the doors where everyone who had just arrived were slumped down on the ground. I asked someone why everyone was just waiting here. She said that we couldn’t check in until 2 o’clock and it was only half one now. I looked at my watch and it was five past two. I told her the time and said we should all check in and that way we could get some sleep. The girl was too tired to get up. I kept trying to persuade her to get up, telling her how comfortable the bed would be and how she could sleep all day if she wanted to but she wouldn’t budge. I decided that if no one else wanted to check in, it wasn’t going to stop me.
That’s the last thing I remember, although I’m sure I’ve forgotten a scene near the start.

I can’t really remember the start of this dream but the earliest bit I remember is a group of us were all in what was supposedly Jenny’s apartment getting ready to go out. It was some college night out or ball or something.
She was getting changed in the next room and I was looking out her window. It was a really narrow window and had a horrible view. We all said that the place smelled kind of damp or something. I tried to open the window but it wasn’t the kind of window that opened. We all felt sorry for Jenny to live in such a small cramped place. Then she was ready and we were heading out. You had to wear a hat to wherever we were going so I picked up a white fedora with a black ribbon that Jenny had lying around.
Then the dream skips a bit and I was visiting my uncle on my way to college. His house was laid out really weird because you could enter his downstairs and there was a doorbell at the foot of the stairs. I rang the doorbell and told him who I was. He came downstairs and was surprised to see me.
I told him my dad had asked me to drop off two books to him. I had read one of them and I told him it was one continuous story but the way the chapters were written it felt almost like a book of short stories. He asked me did I want to stay but I said I had to leave now or I’d be late for college as I had to walk from his house to the college.
It was very much an uneventful dream but there it is.

I know that I’ve forgotten the start of this dream but I was going to college with a group of people. I don’t think they were my friends, they might’ve been acquaintances. We were walking down my road and I think we were running late because I was worried whether or not we’d make the bus so I was walking slightly ahead of the others. As we came to the top of the road, I saw my bus pulling up to the stop so I started to run. I think the others followed but I’m not sure.
When I reached the bus, it turned out to be a slightly different bus than normal (it had a letter after the number) and for some reason I asked would it go by Chris’ estate. The driver wasn’t sure and said he went near it but then turned down Blue Shell Street (which I’ve never even heard of) so I decided not to get it. By this time, my normal bus had arrived so I got on that instead. I was with someone but I can’t remember their face.
The bus eventually got to town and I realised I was meant to be acting as a tour guide today. Suddenly I was with Emily (I know she wasn’t the person I had been on the bus with) who was going to be doing the tour with me. Neither of us actually knew anything about the area we were meant to be giving the tour of.
I realised my dad knew loads about the area so we walked to his workplace. He hadn’t reached work yet so we just hung around waiting for him. I said, “That’s grand, we can take a few minutes to relax until he gets here”.
I think I woke up at this point and thought I was still dreaming so I figured I’d go back to sleep until my dad arrived…I slept in by half an hour >.<

Late Assignment October 24, 2009

I was in college and I had an assignment, which I had barely started, due later that day. I was trying to find a free computer in one of the computer labs but they were all in use. I saw two guys from my course just watching videos on one of the computers but before I could ask them if I could use the computer, someone got up and left. I took the newly vacated computer and started working on my assignment which involved a business plan of some sort.
It was really stressful but I finally finished it. Suddenly a woman was helping me go through it, I think she might have been a lecturer or a tutor. Even though I had been working on the computer, the assignment was handwritten. She was telling me that it was all wrong and crossing out loads of it and writing in what I should put down. She was doing it in a friendly, helpful way rather than being hurtful or demeaning. She also told me to rename my business plan from “Business Plan” to something like “Modern Business Tech Solution”, I can’t quite remember the name of it. I thanked her for her help and made it just in time to submit the assignment.
Dreaming about assignments is really horrible, it’s bad enough having to do them in the first place!
