Hi and welcome to my blog!
My name, for all intents and purposes, is Dreamer and I blog the dreams I have each night, or at least the ones I remember! I’ve always loved dreams; reading about them, telling people my dreams, hearing other people’s dreams and occasionally trying to find meaning in them. However, I think that dreams can reveal a lot about a person, maybe more than you first think, so for this reason I’ve decided to change the names of the people in my blog so I don’t end up telling whoever stumbles across this blog my innermost desires or something!
It was actually my boyfriend’s idea that I start this blog. A few months ago I was telling him another random dream I had and he said I should blog them. I initially thought it wasn’t a good idea because of how much dreams reveal about a person but the idea kept going around in my head and now here I am with my own blog!
I’ve never had a blog before so I’m not quite sure how these kind of things work but I’ll try to update often, depending on how many dreams I remember. I’ll try to post at least once a week (I’m sure to remember at least one dream a week, right?) even if it’s just me reading it!
The Name
The title of my blog isn’t just me being big-headed and calling myself beautiful, it’s actually named after the song “Beautiful Dreamer” written by Stephen Foster. It’s been performed by a few people but the only performer that matters to me is my dad. When I was very young, he used to sing it to me to help me sleep. He may not have been a great singer or have known all the lyrics but I still loved it. So after trying to come up with a name for a few days, I thought of this one when I couldn’t sleep and it just fit.
